Satisfaction

Are you satisfied? Sadly, that is one thing we are not. We are not satisfied. We can get our dream car only to want the newest model in a year. We can take the vacation of a lifetime and have a great time only to dread the end of the trip and begin planning another. We can say “if I only had this or that, then I would be completely satisfied,” only to realize once we get it is wasn’t what we thought it was.
Contentment is a difficult virtue to posses. Why? Because there is nothing on earth that can satisfy our deepest desires. The only way to be completely satisfied is to seek after the things of God.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6).
If you are not satisfied, look and see what you are hungering and thirsting for.
